Main awards and Team Selection are based on pure score regardless of round shot, provided the round is valid. Valid rounds are:- Gents (York), Ladies (Hereford or York) and Juniors (as in AGB rule 308b). 

 

 Notes 

  1. Shooting will be AGB method 2 (6 arrows in 4 minutes at each distance). 
  2. Target list posted on the day. Please send Large SAE for results sheets. 
  3. Junior Bristol Rounds according to entries. 
  4. All archers must be affiliated to AGB or a WA member organisation and will be asked to produce their membership cards when signing in. 
  5. Rounds to be shot according to AGB rules. AGB dress regulations apply. 
  6. Refreshments will be available during the day. 
  7. Record status shoots are liable for drug testing. Competitors approached to give samples must comply. A refusal will be treated as a positive result. A Parent or Guardian must sign the entry form for consent to Junior drug testing. 
  8. The Foresters cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to equipment or personal possessions. 
  9. Please note that the AGB Vulnerable Persons Protection Policy requires that any person wishing to engage in any type of photography, filming or videoing must register their intent before carrying out any such activity.   • In accordance with ArcheryGB Child Protection policy all wishing to take photographs or image recording must register with the Tournament Organiser.
  • If you are shooting all carbon arrows, you must inform the Tournament Organiser before you shoot. All arrow must be counted in and counted out.It is the Archers responsibility to ensure that all lost arrows are found before you leave the shooting ground.
  • Belvoir Archers cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property or vehicles at this event.
  • Drug testing. The World Record Status Shoot will be liable for drug testing, competitors approached to give samples must comply as refusal will be treated as a positive result. Parents/legal guardian of competitors under the age of 18 must sign the entry form giving consent to drug testing if required.

Regrettably dogs are not allowed on the field unless they are assistance dogs wearing the appropriate working bibs.

No cars are to be parked on the side of the road due to TARMAC lorries requiring access to the TARMAC Cement Works all day.  Car Parking Attendants will be on hand to park you in the shooting field behind the tent line area.

Refreshments will be available from 7-30am until end of the lunch break.

  • Each archer should sign the entry form to confirm “I have received instruction in Clout shooting prior to this tournament”. If necessary, instruction will be given on the day

Harfleur Castle will be besieged from the following distances;

  • Seniors 4 dozen each at 100, and 80 yards
  • Juniors (U16) 4 dozen each at 80, and 60 yards
  • The final end at each distance will be shot in volleys
  • A Final Advancing Volley will be shot approaching the Keep, the best headshot claiming the Lady’s Purse of  50

*Sighting aids of any kind are not permitted*

  • No sighting aids of any kind are allowed (eyes are permissible so long as you squint)
  • Whilst it is not a requirement, you are encouraged to enter into the ‘spirit of the thing’ by dressing up appropriately for medieval battle. Note: there is no documented evidence of zombies, Elvis, or naughty nurses* in 15th Century battle (*note to self; don’t research this at work)

Entry fees

  • Saturday: Adult & cadets £16 Junior metrics in Morning £10.
  • Sunday: Adults £16 juniors £14,  £2 reduction if shooting both days.

Awards

Saturday: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Male & Female in all disciplines if entries permit.

Sunday: 1st 2nd 3rd  Male & Female in all disciplines in OPEN & LCAS if entries permit.

 

  • Archery GB dress regulation for target archery (rule 307) will apply
  • All archers must be affiliated to Archery GB and produce their membership card on registration
  • Anyone wishing to take photographs must register with the tournament organiser on the day

Drug testing: Record status shoots are liable for Drug Testing. Any competitor approached to give a sample for testing MUST comply. If they refuse, that refusal will be treated as a positive result. Where an entry form contains one or more junior entries, the parent or legal guardian of each junior must complete a consent form.

  • Warwick W 40 round 24 arrows at 40 yds & 24 arrows at 30 yds and again after lunch.

FITA and GNAS rules apply to this competition appropriate to the format of the round being shot.

GNAS dress regulations would be nice but not essential the most important thing is to enjoy and have FUN on Christine’s Remembrance Day.
